What is Karma ?

What is karma actually? How does karma works? There is a huge misconception in the western culture. We often think that karma is negative, we say things like: karma is a bitch, etc But that’s false. Karma isn’t positive neither negative, it just means ‘action’ in Sanskrit.

Now, how does karma works?

Like I said karma isn’t positive neither negative. Karma is just one of the laws of the universe, this how our universe works. For every cause, there is an effect. I made an article about the 12 laws of the universe if you are interested. So it’s your choice, either you use karma positively or negatively. You can also have no karma at all, but that’s a little more complicated to explain. Look at the yogi’s who sit blissfully in their caves, they don’t have karma at all. It’s not bad to have a lot of karma, if it’s only good karma then there is no problem. People too much think about it.

Here is an example of how karma works: Let’s say you need some money and you decide to rob a man on the street. You pull out a gun and you threaten the person you want to rob. Now what’s going to happen is, this situation creates an effect. In this case, fear, trauma, … are going to be created in the person who has been robbed. All these actions and effects are registered in the Akashic records, you have to see it as the “memory” of the universe. The Universe never forgets. Like Marcus Aurelius said: “What we do now echoes in eternity.” All these things are registered in the soul, pure consciousness, God, Universe, or whatever. What’s going to happen to the person who has robbed the other person? Sooner or later things are going to happen to this person, maybe he’s going to lose all of his money, but most of the time the damage happens in the inside. That’s not even good or bad, you see. It just wants you to learn. You reap what you sow.

Is it possible to break the cycle of karma?

Yes, it is possible. Let’s say you did a bad action and you realize that it was bad. What you can do is ask for forgiveness. Either in your meditation or if it’s possible, you can directly go to the person. When you do that, the cycle of karma breaks. When you apologize, karma doesn’t have to strike back because you realized that you made a mistake and the lesson is already learned.

Why do people are born with a handicap or some people have diseases?

What I’m going to write, may sound harsh and incomprehensible but this is how the universe works. Somebody who is born with a handicap has chosen to be born like this. I can see you behind your screen saying: “WTF!”. This soul or consciousness has chosen this experience. Only the person himself can discover that, but most of the time, they chose it because they want to experience love. A lot of people with a handicap are surrounded with love, isn’t it? You can see plenty of videos of a disabled person who is more joyful than ever and discovered that this handicap is a blessing in disguise. You may feel pity when you see a disabled person, don’t do that. Look at them like every human being with joy and love. You have to remember that these souls are the strongest souls.

Now, what with people who suddenly catch a disease, become blind, or something like that. Most of the time, they catch a disease, let’s say cancer because of their lifestyle. What they eat, their emotions, stress … But there are cases where it can be because of their past lives. Karma of their past lives. You can find plenty of stories like that. All these things come back, but you don’t have to worry. Manage this life and everything will be okay.

We have to wake up and stop being victims of our life. You are more powerful than you think you are.
