They often say that you have to control your emotions. But why is that so important? I will try to give you some reasons and also give you some tips to control your negatives emotions.
The first reason why you should control your negatives emotions is that it’s bad for you and your environment. For example, when you are angry, not only you are creating, literally, poison in your body, but you are influencing the people around you. You are transmitting this negative emotion to another person which can create fear or also anger in this person. You see, it’s only bad karma. The loop never ends unless you become more aware.
You should respond not react. When you become more aware, you will not react anymore, but respond. What’s the difference between reacting and respond? A reaction is more survival-oriented and on some level a defense mechanism, it’s more unconscious. It might turn ok, but a reaction is something you regret later. A response, on the other hand, comes more slowly. You let the information flow into you and answer consciously. In the beginning it might be difficult, but give yourself some time to answer even if it’s a bit awkward.
The second reason is the law of attraction. You attract what you are. The more your vibration is high, such as happiness, peace, blissfulness, the more you will attract these emotions. However, if you have fear, anger, anxiety, you will lower your vibration and attract these emotions. It’s as simple as that.
Now, how to control your emotions?
The first thing that you have to do is to become aware of this emotion. When you become aware of this emotion, let’s say anger, you have certain control over it and you don’t become overwhelmed by it. When anger, anxiety, jealousy comes up into you, observe it. Don’t get caught by it. The moment you become aware of these negative emotions, they will naturally disappear.
If you have some difficulties to control your emotions, do some sports. Sport is an excellent way to liberate these negative emotions. Go for a run, the gym, or do some boxing or and another kind of martial art. After a sport session, you always feel good.
What I suggest when you are sad or depressed is meditation. Close your eyes and take some deep breaths. After 3-4 deep breaths, let these emotions come and accept them. Accept and recognize them, but don’t identify with these emotions. After a certain time, they will go away.
